James 2:15-17 Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. 16 If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.
We were a couple days away from starting our 3rd home build of the year, and I stopped to drop some supplies off for the upcoming week into the trailer. I greeted Rosa that morning like I always do, and went to open the trailer door. I stopped to look at her family's new kitchen they are adding to their house. Rosa then asked me this question, “If no groups are coming, who is paying for the houses?” I explained that we had some year end gifts that covered a part of the cost of the three homes we had planned on building. The rest we paid for from the general fund and when we begin any more homes after the third home, we will pay from the general fund. “Is that a good thing?” she asked. I explained the funds come in and go to categories like education, support, food, and the general fund. She then asked me something that thrilled my heart. “Can I write a letter to all the supporters?” Of course, I said. I think that would be great.
So today you are going to read a letter from a very dear friend of the ministry. She is also one of mine and Kelly’s best friends. This letter is written from a servant's heart. Enjoy.
Thank you for your continued love and support.
