A decision made by a married couple had a lasting impact on my life. Their trust in me helped me to carry on, and from that day on, I felt like I was part of something important. I felt loved, safe, and it provided me with the sense of belonging and purpose that's essential for a teenager with dreams.
Behind me stands a great team, a perfect combination of not just my parents, but includes my sponsors.
I was given an opportunity that perhaps my parents would have liked for themselves; my classmates would have only hoped for such support, and my teachers and close friends could not fathom that someone would have such faith and confidence to pay my schooling. It just does not happen in my city!
The years have passed and I was able to attain a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Furthermore, I have endorsements in this field, have participated in workshops, traveled to conferences where I have learned and had much fun. The days were long, but the years went fast. Now I work with children with neurological disabilities, an area that my city continues to grow striving to offer the best possible services to these little ones.
Trust and have faith because —a sincere act of kindness will always bring about more of the same.
